About

I’m Emma, an independent florist based in the Cotswolds. I offer naturalistic, sustainable floral design reflecting the seasons and the five valleys that surround me.

I have grown up with a love of nature and have sought it out wherever I have been throughout my life. In my 20’s I worked for several years in mental health services. It was during my time working in a hospital garden that I discovered how growing and being in nature provided a sense of well being which couldn’t be found elsewhere. Realising this led me to train and practice as a Horticultural Therapist in different community settings, sharing my joy in growing. I believe nature feeds the soul and bringing a little piece of the outdoors in through flowers can aid this alchemy.

Whilst I have worked with people, plants and flowers for a number of years, I have recently completed my professional floristry training with the Bath Flower School where I developed skills, techniques and practices enabling me to set up Meadowsweet Floristry.
